Music on Main: DJ Anjali and the Incredible Kid
A Desi Latine sound clash with the hottest club sounds from India and Latin America
Join us for a special Portland'5 Department of Culture and Community takeover with DJ Anjali and The Incredible Kid featuring The Gulabi Gang Dancers performing from 5pm to 8pm on Wednesday, August 14th.
DJ Anjali and The Incredible Kid have spent more than 18 years igniting dance floors with cutting edge music not limited by borders or language. They host the world's longest-running Bhangra & Bollywood party (ANDAZ), co-founded the Pacific Northwest’s first Global Bass dance party (ATLAS) and currently host TROPITAAL!—a Desi Latinx Soundclash every month at The Goodfoot.
Few DJs can be said to have changed the sound of their city but that is exactly what Anjali and The Kid have accomplished since they first introduced Portland nightclub audiences to Filmi & Panjabi Folk at their raucous New Year’s Eve debut in 2000.
