Portland'5 Foundation

Students from traditionally marginalized communities who have access to the arts, in or out of school, tend to have better academic results, better workforce opportunities, and higher levels of civic engagement, according to a 2012 National Endowment for the Arts report.

With that in mind, each year the Portland’5 Centers for the Arts Education Program, removes barriers and provides access to a diverse selection of world-class lectures and performances for more than 12,000 students and teachers from Title-I schools in Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington counties. Additionally, our programs enhance the education and arts experience by providing curricular materials that connect the stage and the classroom.

With your generous support, there is never a charge to students or schools.
