A Beat Happening is a free, monthly, all-ages, all-genres, and identity-inclusive music producer and DJ showcase with a Youtube channel dedicated to archiving all performances. Based in Portland, Oregon, A Beat Happening has spent seven years cultivating a vibrant platform for the local community and this show highlights many of the artists who have performed with us in various settings over the last seven years.

LUVJONEZ

Luvjonez (he/his) is a Puerto Rican instrumental hip hop producer and musician based in Portland, Oregon. He weaves a nostalgic and downtempo blend of musical influences from his cultural roots, extensive travels, and multimedia artistic experiences. His instrumental tracks combine Down South, East Coast, and Pacific Northwest elements, creating a genre-defying mix of lofi, jazzy, downtempo, and boom bap vibes. Aside from his own artistic output, he is also co-founder and co-host of A Beat Happening.
